The Day’s Celebration

Independence Day is a national holiday celebrated with much pomp and excitement on August 15th. Our nation was freed from foreign enslavement on this day, and the British had returned to India after leaving the country and handed over the reins of power to us.
As a result, we all commemorate this day as a historical occasion. The Indian people hold Independence Day with high regard. The Chief Ministers of the States address the public and inform them on the state’s development. On this occasion, numerous cultural events are being held in both small and large cities.

Independence Day is commemorated in schools as well. At 8:00 a.m., we gather on the school grounds. The Principal, as well as other instructors, are then present. The national song is played first, followed by the principals hoisting the tricolor flag. After that, kids sing patriotic songs one by one, followed by a lecture by instructors and administrators explaining the significance of Independence Day to the pupils.
